These vol au vents make great tasty canapés for the festive season. With just a few simple ingredients, they can be prepared in advance so you can relax before everyone arrives.

Ingredients

  • 2 packs of 12 mini vol au vents 
  • 1 pack of Merchant Gourmet Whole Chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 pack of mushroom, finely chopped 
  • 120g Stilton cheese, crumbled
  • 1-2 tbsp caramelised onion chutney

Instructions

  1. Sauté the mushrooms for a couple of minutes, add the chestnuts and season well. Seat aside to cool down. 
  2. Transfer the mix to a bowl and add the caramelised chutney and Stilton cheese. 
  3. Spoon the mixture into the pastry cases and serve.
