Ingredients
- 1 pouch of Merchant Gourmet Frozen Korean-Style Veg & Mixed Grains
- 1 small head cauliflower
- 100g flour
- 50g cornflour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 200ml water
-
Vegetable oil
- 50g Gochujang paste
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ lime
Sauce:
Instructions
- Begin by mixing the batter. Place the flour, cornflour and baking powder in a large bowl then pour in the water and whisk until smooth.
- Break the cauliflower into florets and place in the batter. If the florets are too big cut them in half. Mix the cauliflower in the batter then set aside.
- Fill a pan with a few centimetres of vegetables then bring up to heat. The oil is hot enough when it fizzes when the cauliflower is dropped.
- Cook the cauliflower in batches for about 5 minutes, gently moving around as you do so they don’t stick to one another.
- Once the cauliflower is cooked, transfer to a kitchen towel to drain.
- Place the Korean-Style Vegetables & Grains in a pan and gently heat with a splash of water.
- To make the sauce simply place all the ingredients into a small bowl and mix well.
- Place the cauliflower in a big bowl and season with salt. Then pour over the sauce and toss well, making sure everything is coated.
- To plate, simply divide the vegetables and grains between two plates and top with the Korean fried cauliflower. Enjoy!
