Ingrédients
- 1 Merchant Gourmet Wholegrain Spelt
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 100-200ml vegetable stock
- 20g grated pecorino cheese, or plant-based alternative
- Fresh asparagus spears
- 1 tsp olive oil
- Black pepper to taste
Méthode
- In a wide-based pan, slowly heat your olive oil over a medium heat. Once warm, add your diced onion and stir till they start to caramelise.
- Add your Merchant Gourmet Wholegrain Spelt to the pan and stir well.
- Gradually pour in the stock to the pan, alongside the grated cheese. Stir well for 5-10 minutes until the liquid starts to evaporate.
- Blanche your asparagus tips in water for 2 minutes until aldente.
- Serve your spelt topped with asparagus and a sprinkling of black pepper.
